Who can become a Member?
Membership is open to Realtors®, members of NAHB, and ICREA-affiliated agents worldwide.
Affiliate memberships are open to real estate professionals in related fields who are involved in the sales transaction.
How do I become a Member?
To become a member of The Institute you must complete one of our CLHMS training classes. Education is at the heart of our mission, and we believe that we offer the best training in the industry. (Here are some testimonials).
How much does it cost?
The course registration fees typically range from $500 - $580 for live training, depending upon location. Online training is $495. The registration fee includes your first year’s membership to the Institute. Some national franchise brands have negotiated two year memberships for their agents. Call The Institute for information. Currently, annual dues are $225 for renewing Members.
How do I earn the CLHMS designation?
Attending the training and becoming a Member of The Institute is the first step in earning the CLHMS designation. Once you are a Member, you may submit your application for certification along with documentation confirming that you meet the performance requirements. There is no additional cost for the designation.
Do I have to meet the CLHMS performance standards before I can take the training?
No, you can take the training now and meet performance standards later. Once you have completed the training you will be a member of The Institute and enjoy all of the benefits. You can implement the tools and ideas from class to get to the next level. You can promote yourself as an Institute Member but you may not promote yourself as having the CLHMS designation until The Institute sends you confirmation that you have earned it.
