About Marilyn

Masters degree in Speech Pathology from Univ. of Arizona.  What does that have to do with being a Realtor since 1985?  Working with persons with speech and language challenges prepared me to be a kind and caring Realtor. I have the partience to listen to the clients and find out what they really want--both buyers and sellers.  Having been a diagnostician in my other carreer, I have figured out how to look at a situation from all angles and find the best way to approach it and come to a meaningful solution with the least amount of effort and stress for all parties, including myself!

I am married and we have a Labrador Retriever named Muffy. 

Both my husband and I are Texas licensed real estate brokers. We own Marilyn Arendt Properties, a boutique residential firm located in the heart of west Houston.

Volunteering is a must for me.  I serve on the Advisory board of Wellsprings Village, Inc., a transitional housing program for abused and homeless women. I am now in my 4th year on the HAR Board of Directors; TAR Board of Directors; TREPAC co-chair; President of St. John Vianney Women's Club;Theresian National Leadership team; and other community organizations (PEO, Tri Delta, Irish Society,Univ. of St. Thomas Planned Giving Advisory, AAUW)
