Over the last fifteen years, she has helped over 400 clients buy and sell homes. During that time, she also personally purchased and renovated at least a dozen homes. Some for long-term investments, others were resold. In the early ‘90s, her first investments were two duplexes in South Austin and a four-plex in El Paso. Those properties eventually helped her buy fixer-uppers in East Austin. That is when she started looking for contractors who could help her, and lenders who would finance these projects. Having learned what pitfalls to avoid, she can then share that valuable knowledge and experience with her clients.

The result of her experience as a REALTOR®, real estate investor, and remodeler is that she can articulate information that adds value to each transaction and help clients achieve their real estate goals, efficiently. These skills have helped maintain her status as a top REALTOR® in Austin and proactive trusted advisor to her clients.

Her transition from El Paso to Austin in 1998 has been a wondrous journey, not only geographically, but also culturally. She is so grateful for all this town has to offer. To show her gratitude, she has worked hard at becoming a member of good standing in the Austin community. The activities she finds most rewarding, besides helping clients buy or sell their home, is her involvement with Habitat for Humanity and Foundation Communities. Helping build a home or providing housing for someone less fortunate, she finds, is a powerful gesture. Volunteering service to the community allows her to give back. She also volunteers through Austin Junior Forum and is a big supporter of Avance-Austin. Showing appreciation for her adopted hometown is important to her.

Cristina Valdés currently lives in Central East Austin with her family. She enjoys close proximity to downtown, Rainey Street, restaurants, coffee shops and the amazing Ann and Roy Butler Boardwalk and Hike and Bike Trail at Lady Bird Lake. You can often find her walking the lake with her dog or enjoying a new restaurant in the neighborhood. She believes that every day is an opportunity to show her gratitude for all that life in Austin has afforded her.
