Tami Simms is a real estate marketing expert and accomplished trainer. Her background in advertising and as a concierge at a luxury resort provides her with real insights on reaching and serving the luxury consumer.
Experience selling luxury real estate ensures that she understands the challenges faced by residential sales professionals in today’s upper-tier market. Tami presents the Institute’s two-day training with energy and expertise, consistently receiving outstanding reviews from attendees. Tami has earned the coveted Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist™ designation and achieved Million Dollar GUILD™ recognition for her proven performance in luxury real estate.
Bill Hensley has achieved Million Dollar Guild™ recognition with the Institute and brings luxury real estate, leadership, and training experience to his role. He is a proven leader who often draws insight from his time as an officer and supersonic-jet instructor pilot in the United States Air Force where success or failure was measured in inches while traveling at 500 miles per hour.
Bill became a licensed broker in California in 1994 when he founded a successful luxury real estate brokerage in San Diego. He operated independently for more than a decade before combining forces with a national brand.
In addition to his luxury real estate business and training accolades, Bill has published several top-selling leadership and training books that are sold in more than 17 countries. He is a frequent television commentator who previously hosted his own AM radio talk show in San Diego. He also holds a black belt in karate, and has competed at the national level.
Kofi, director of the Compass Global Sports & Entertainment Division, has more than 13 years of professional experience in luxury real estate and has closed millions of dollars in real estate.
Kofi attended and played football at the University of California at Berkeley and later completed his MBA in the Presidential and Key Executive Program at Pepperdine University. He has always looked to elevate the standard for real estate professionals by acting as a professional business consultant and not just an agent. He has been recognized and awarded for his negotiating, marketing, and sales abilities.
Kofi played professional sports and has acted in numerous national commercials, television shows, and films including True Blood, Modern Family, Touch, Psych, Fast & Furious, and Kick-Ass. He brings his industry contacts and experience to real estate. His understanding of the sports and entertainment niche has enabled him to effectively service professional athletes, entertainers, and distinguished clientele throughout his career, including clients such as Derek Fisher, Iggy Azalea, Kevin Durant, and Michael Jordan.
Kofi has been a correspondent on celebrity and luxury real estate for more than 100 national television and print media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, CBS, CNBC, NBC Sports, Bloomberg, Fox Business News, ESPN, CNN Money, The Insider, and others. He was also a regular featured agent on HGTV’s Selling LA, has made numerous appearances on Million Dollar Listing, and continues as a celebrity and luxury real estate correspondent on Hollywood Today Live.
His exposure to the national and international real estate markets has enabled him to effectively market and sell properties locally, nationally, and internationally. Kofi recently completed his first book: Sellebrity: Breaking into and Servicing the Sports & Entertainment Niche available now on amazon.com.
Kofi believes in honesty, integrity, and fun in business. He values building long-term relationships with his clients and prides himself on delivering a “desirably different real estate experience.” He currently lives in Playa Vista, California with his wife and two children.
Lucio Bernal is a Million Dollar GUILD™ member of the Institute and has been working with affluent clients for nearly 20 years, specializing in executive and corporate relocation services. He uses his background in education and communications to successfully train and oversee a team of five luxury agents who consistently meet or exceed their sales goals. Lucio enjoys sharing his real world experience with industry colleagues, and especially enjoys helping them succeed.
When he’s not training Institute members, Lucio is a REALTOR® serves as the President of the Palm Springs Regional Association of REALTOR® after having been named the association's REALTOR® of the year in 2015. He’s worked at several luxury real estate firms in California over the past decade, including Premiere Asset Services, where he managed a team of dedicated agents.
Lucio also holds the Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist™ (CLHMS) designation. He graduated from the University of Arizona in 1987 with a degree in education and communications.
