What do Clients Say?

Deb Barouch was a tireless ally in the sale of my home. She was an excellent marketer in pricing, photographing and bringing in the potential buyers. We had an offer in just two weeks, and she helped to negotiate a good price for the home. I had the house on the market with other realtors in past years and no one did the job as well as Deb. From the offer to the closing she followed up on every detail. Since I had already moved two hours away, she handled contractors and other appointments and made sure everything proceeded smoothly through the closing. My waterfront home would not have realized its value without Deb's services. I highly recommend her as an agent.

It seems to me that ultimately, we're talking about where someone will live - that's important, and Deb was a close listener. She both helped with how to think about the real estate market in Portland, & was patient when I might have felt differently. She was great for me as a buyers broker. The proof is in a satisfied purchaser.

About Deborah

I grew up in a foreign service family spending most of my childhood overseas and in Washington DC
.
This provided me with the gift of global citizenship that I have unconsciously used all my life.
I majored in Government and Politics at the University of Maryland and moved to Maine in 1975 to live a "back to the land" lifestyle and embrace the "green movement" by building a recycled post and beam home on 30 acres.

In 1985 I became a real estate broker in Portland, Maine and in 2002 I launched my residential and investment real estate company and then merged with Keller Williams Portland.

I enjoy meeting new real estate buyers & sellers from whatever country or walk of life and introducing them to what the greater Portland, ME real estate community has to offer.
Making new real estate clients feel at home in their new communities is a skill I learned from an early age as the child of US diplomat. Overseas we had to make new friends and interact socially on a continual basis.
It is very satisfying to repeat this with each real estate client.

In 2001, I joined the Board of the World Affairs Council of Maine, and from 2007-2009 I served as President of the Board.

In 2015 I returned as a member of the Board, and currently I am Chair of the Nominating committee.
I live with my husband on Casco Bay, in a waterfront neighborhood, where one can be on one's vessel in a matter of minutes sailing across the Bay, or biking through beautiful  vistas.

I especially enjoy helping buyer clients navigate  properties on Portland's Penninsula, which is a challenging niche market, that requires the utmost in experience in negotiatiing multiple offers.
I also help sellers/buyers with "private" sales. For properties that are not currently on the market.

In 2019 I received an award as the #10 Top  individual agent at Keller Williams in Portland. And I have traditionally been in the top 7% of my company.. KW Portland Market center Maine.. where We sold 1 billion dollars of real estate in 2018.
