What do Clients Say?

Where's the 6th Star? Kristin was simply amazing to work with on the sale of my home. I threw her several challenges and she rose to the occasion every time. Despite the challenges, Kristin moved the sales process forward to the degree that we were able to close a week earlier than expected. Kristin’s engagement, patience and attention to detail sets her apart from any other real estate professional I have worked with. Cheers to Kristin!

Kristin was amazing in helping us find our first home! She was so incredibly patient while showing us properties. While looking at homes, she was great about pointing out features and issues that we, as first time home buyers, might not have paid attention to or would have noticed. She was invaluable in walking us through the negotiation and buying process once we found the house we were excited about. We were so impressed with Kristin's attention to detail and her expert knowledge and advise. With her help, we were able to move into our home just in time to welcome our baby girl.

Kristin and Marilynn get top marks from me; they were personable, professional, and accommodating. I have now bought and sold a house with Edelweiss Realty, and I am delighted to report from both sides of the transaction that they do a terrific job. Kristin is a go-getter, and I was pleased to work with her during my 2016 sale. Kristin was fastidious in the details, from good advice about staging (and providing a few touches around the house to make it appealing to buyers) and her impressive knowledge of the paperwork, I felt that I was in a good hands. In coordination with Marilynn, Kristin helped me to find an asking price that would move the house quickly while also getting real value for the place. I was happy with the price and the speed of the sale. Kristin was generous in cheerfully talking and texting with me into the evenings during the negotiations with the buyer; just as I first discovered an unpretentious, skilled pro in Marilynn several years ago when I was buying, I found her match in Kristin during my sale. I would work with both of them again happily. I trust their knowledge and experience with the Denver area market, and I loved the personal, friendly, and just plain kind way of working. Kristin was the point person on my sale, and I'll turn to her when I need a realtor again. Did I mention she did all her wonderful work while pregnant? Talk about a person who can juggle a lot of balls in the air at once. Yes, I'd rate Kristin as a strong business woman, a savvy realtor, and a wonderful person.

About Kristin

I specialize in helping clients navigate the complex real estate buying and selling process by making it simple, transparent, and personalized.

I've been in the real estate industry: buying, selling, and managing properties, since 1998. My buying and selling perspective on both the consumer and agent sides helps me better understand your needs and goals, and best assist you. My negotiation training and certification helps me effectively
negotiate to get the best price and terms for you. I am also a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist and I apply this knowledge to all my listings.

My home focus is the Denver Metro area and close in, more affordable alternatives. I currently live in the University Park/Observatory Park neighborhood but also own property in Berkeley and the University of Denver neighborhoods.

To make good decisions, you need to be an educated consumer.

Before entering the real estate industry officially, I spent more than 15 years as a communication consultant helping government agencies make complex information clear and usable. I believe clear communication is a consumer right.

As part of my communication consultant work, I worked with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) on the "Know Before You Owe" project to design new mortgage disclosures --the Loan Estimate (formerly the Good Faith Estimate) and the Closing Disclosure (formerly the HUD-1).

The Loan Estimate (LE)  is intended to be used as a shopping tool to help you choose a mortgage that is right for you.  The Closing Disclosure (CD) is intended to help you understand what, if anything, changed between your loan estimate and closing.  This is good news for consumers as consumers can better use, compare, and understand complex mortgage information and terms with these disclosures. The disclosures have been called "understandable," "transparent," and "fair." These mandatory disclosures were implemented in October 2015. Let me know what you think...
