About Janice

Janice M. Burtis is currently living in Grand Junction,Colorado and is self-employed through RE/MAX 4000, Inc. as an active realestate broker in the state of Colorado since 2001.  She is one of the top 10 producing agents inWestern Colorado and focuses on both residential and commercial realestate.  Janice holds variousdesignations including the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate ofthe Realtor Institute (GRI), Certified New Home Specialist (CNHS), CertifiedLuxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS), is an Accredited Buyer’sRepresentative (ABR), and is e-PRO certified. Janice has also been involved in the development and sale of vacantland.

Prior to returning to Colorado, Janice was the VicePresident of Information Technology for a company in Atlanta, Georgia.  Janice’s first career started after receivingher Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering as well as a minor inmathematics from Baylor University in Waco, Texas in 1983.  Janice developed software applications foroil and gas companies as well as telecommunications companies both  inside and outside of the United States.  She has traveled extensively in Europe, SouthAmerica, and Mexico.

Since 2003, Janice has been actively involved with Hospiceand Palliative Care of Western Colorado. She currently is on the Board of Directors, the Foundation Board and theMajor Gifts sub-committee, as has also been involved with the Child and Teen Forget-Me-Notprogram.  She has also been involved withRace for the Cure and Girls on the Run of Western Colorado.

Janice is very active with outside activities which includeboth road and mountain biking, cross-country and downhill skiing, hiking, golfing,fishing, yoga, and wind surfing!  Shequalified for and has completed the Boston Marathon (26.2 mile run) and alsocompleted the Ironman Canada triathlon (2.4 mile swim / 112 mile bike / 26.2mile run).
