Everyone has heard the saying that “Nobody’s really from LA.” Jason Sturman is the exception, however – a native of the area whose grandfather, an architect, built some of the city’s first luxury homes. His deep roots here, an early education in France, and a background in international investment and development with projects spanning the country from Miami to Portland, Oregon give him a perspective that is at once global and local, overarching and highly personal. 

Real estate is known for its complexity, which is why Sturman asks the tough questions up front, both from the client and from their lender, banker, or the agent on the other side of the negotiating table. By identifying potential choke points that can derail the sales process, he ensures a higher level of fiduciary protection and a more favorable position for the buyers and sellers under his care. 

While Sturman enjoys the nuts and bolts aspects of transactions – even the paperwork involved – he also relishes the opportunity to get boots on the ground and dig in to the factors that make a property truly special. Over the years he has lived in communities throughout the Westside, including Culver City, Beverlywood, Beverly Hills, Westwood, and Sherman Oaks, and currently is an owner and resident in Century City. This gives him a unique perspective that clients value, offering them not only insight into the city’s neighborhoods, but also their architectural and historical significance. 

Sturman holds a number of professional designations including Certified Luxury Homes Marketing Specialist and Certified International Property Specialist. These reflect his proven performance and exceptional insight into the process of positioning his listings for the widest possible market, both throughout Los Angeles and far beyond its borders. With prior management experience on the commercial and investment side of real estate, he offers a comprehensive view of the current valuation and future potential of each property. 

As might be expected from a native Angeleno, when he’s not serving clients Sturman is a student of the local cinema scene, attending showings everywhere from art houses to large stadium-style theaters. He also spends time exploring the city’s shopping venues and strolling its ever-changing neighborhoods to keep up with the latest developments and architectural features.
