What do Clients Say?

We recently sold property in Charleston on the water. We have worked with many realtors in our time but NONE compare to the professionalism , knowledge and sweet personality of Amy J. She met with us, took beautiful pictures of the property, showcased it in a number of sites and always kept us informed. If an agent or client inquired about the property, she spent time explaining the history of the property and checking back to see if they needed any other information. In 40 years of buying and selling, we have only met one other agent like Amy with most just listing it on MLS and walking away. If you want someone who cares about you, Amy is your person!! We highly recommend her.

We are very grateful that we were able to work with Amy on finding our home in the Charleston area! We were feeling the pressure of needing to find a house and close in less than 30 days, but Amy worked hard to help us find a great home and got us connected to excellent resources at Carolina One that made it all possible. Even with a tight deadline, we were able to find a house that met our wants and needs, and we were able to negotiate a price that gave us a good share of instant equity! Amy is great with communication, easy to work with, and genuinely cared about us being happy in our new home. She was full of sound advice about different neighborhoods that would be a smart investment for us and a good fit for our family. Amy came highly recommended to us by a family member, and we would not hesitate to recommend her to others as well!

About Amy

A Pennsylvania Native, Amy spent much of her youth vacationing along the Southern Coastline with family and friends, soaking up the sunshine and southern culture. She also grew up in the residential building environment, intimately involved in the building process from frame to completion, working weekends for her father’s contracting business. Before graduating from Penn State University with a BS in Education and a minor in Social Sciences, she met her fun loving husband, Jeff, at a local country club, where they served members during the summers. Once both graduated Spring of 1997, they heeded to their adventurous spirits, packed their sparse belongings, and made their move to the Charleston Area. Her addiction to the lifestyle offered here has continued to grow ever since! Having lived here for over 20 years, Amy and Jeff have rented, bought, and sold 5 homes of their own, being guided by their ever evolving circumstances and lifestyle visions. Amy has worked, played, and volunteered all over the area, and cannot only tell you all about the multitude of sites, institutions, activities, and events that make Charleston the best place on Earth to live, but also can share the uniqueness of each of Charleston’s pocket community’s lifestyle offerings. In addition to her experience in real estate construction and sales, her previous jobs in service and career in education give her the keen ability to listen to her clients, assess their individual circumstances, needs, and lifestyle desires, then work for and consult with them to create a tailored experience to meet their specifications.
Having been accepted to join a prestigious, international learning cohort and completing the intense and rigorous HBX | Harvard Business School Negotiation Mastery Certificate course of study, Amy is exceptionally prepared to negotiate the most advantageous deals and outcomes for her clients. Additionally, Amy 's involvement as an Architectural Review Committee Member for Wild Dunes Community & Resort as well as her experience in helping builders identify and research viable properties -- by knowing and navigating through the intricacies of each community's unique building standards, ordinances, zoning, and procedures on our local islands, waterways, and in designated historical areas -- has been invaluable for both clients who are purchasing or listing property.
Amy resides on the Isle of Palms, which she likens to living on perpetual vacation in paradise. During her downtime, you will likely find Amy with Jeff and their three girls on the beach running, biking, or delving into their community’s coastal pleasures with friends, family, and/or the family’s Boston Terrier. If not on the beach, she will likely be in the water paddle boarding, surfing, or boating. When away from the water, she indulges in books, travel, food, wine, as well as her most recent love interest-- kickboxing. And, if you sit and talk with Amy long enough, she will inevitably gift you with many smiles and laughs.
