Gary just helped me complete the sale of my house on Daniel Island. I owned the house for ten years and moved away to Scottsdale, Arizona about 3 years ago. Before moving, I had my house on the market for almost a year with several different listing agents, including Daniel Island Real Estate. During that time, I had dozens of showings but not a single offer on the house. My experience was with agents who talked a good game, but delivered very little. Once the listing contract was signed, it was obvious that my agent was simply waiting for someone else to sell the house. Feedback was also nonexistent. I had no choice but to rent the house and try and manage it from 2200 miles away. Fast forward to when I met Gary Langhoff. After discussing my situation and desire to sell with Gary, he helped me develop a plan to market and sell the house within 90 days. It all sounded good, but I had my doubts because I’d heard these same promises before from other agents. Gary turned out to be the real deal -- he was by far, the most proactive real estate agent I’ve ever met. He helped me price the house to achieve my goal. I had a pre-inspection done and knew the house needed some work prior to going on the market. Gary introduced me to his own exclusive handyman who could perform all the work needed at a more than fair price. The handyman provided a professional estimate and timetable and then got right to work under Gary’s supervision. While the work was being done, Gary pre-marketed the house to generate interest. Long story short, we received a full price offer with the very first showing – before the property had even hit the MLS! We had a contract on day one. This is where most agents would sit back and coast. But not Gary. He helped me manage my current tenants who were moving out and coordinated and attended every inspection and made sure all the bases were covered. He also invaluably helped manage the expectations of the buyers all the way to closing. I received timely feedback and advice for every step of the transaction. Gary also helped save me money at closing by providing me strong representation when the buyers wanted certain things that weren’t necessary for me as the seller to provide. When my tenants moved out the day before closing, Gary even took it upon himself to help clean things up in the house that they had not done – just so the buyers would be happy with the condition of the house when presented to them. I’ve never known another real estate agent who would go to such lengths to get the job done. I would strongly recommend Gary Langhoff to anyone looking for a proactive real estate agent to help them buy or sell a property. He is detailed, professional, and knowledgeable of the current market and does exactly what he promises to do and more. I couldn’t have sold my house from such a long distance without Gary. He is the most genuine, honest, upbeat agent that I have ever worked with. He works nonstop for his clients and always goes the extra mile to ensure that you get exactly what you are looking for.
