About Roger
Roger’s early career was in telecommunications and incorporated a variety of positions and skills that transitioned well into real estate. One of the key skills developed during this time involved consultative sales with Fortune 500 C-level executives across the United States and negotiation of multi-million dollar contracts. During his time within the legal department, he developed an intimate knowledge of contract law, property and easement rights and even representing the company in both defending and prosecuting cases in small claims court. Additional responsibilities included assisting federal, state and local law enforcement with criminal investigations and testifying in various levels of court trials. Just a few of the other skills acquired during his tenure include marketing, negotiations, personnel management, public speaking and cutting-edge customer support that won a national award for excellence.
Roger was recognized for having exceptional sales and interpersonal skills and was highly recruited and hired by another firm, resulting in senior management positions in sales and business development. A market research firm later hired him as VP of Sales and Marketing, thus broadening his knowledge and experience even further.
Aftertwo decades of polishing skills in the corporate world, Roger embarked on his real estate career in January 2002. Although the timing wasn’t the best, just four months after the tragedy of 9/11, he was able to persevere and established the #1 team in Coppell, TX within just 3 years, earning the prestigious RE/MAX Hall of Fame Award with over $35 million in sales during this short time. Just 5 years later, he reached another plateau, earning the RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement Award with over $100 million in sales.
In 2023, after 21 years with RE/MAX, Roger formed his own brokerage, Thedford & Associates Realty. As of 2025, Roger and his team have amassed over $250 million in sales and over 900 successful transactions, primarily based on referrals from satisfied clients through the years. Always active in supporting the community, even before getting into real estate, Roger has served as a leader in youth sports organizations, school district board of directors, Rotary Club and over 10 years with the Prosper Economic Development Corporation as Treasurer and Real Estate Committee Chairman.
Witha BS degree in finance, Roger approaches each and every transaction with sound investment advice and has worked with many real estate investors throughout his career. A major focus in the past several years has been in the luxury home market with homes in excess of $1 million. With his experience working with the executive management levels at top corporations, he has been able to bring several multi-million dollar properties to a successful close with strong interpersonal and negotiating skills, particularly important in working with high-profile clients.
