About Shelia

Originally from Kentucky, Shelia Gasson made Miami her home in 2000 and she feels blessed everyday to live in the paradise we have here in South Florida. She has been a licensed realtor for close to 15 years, and every year she is more amazed at how much our Magic City is growing from the arts and entertainment to the tech hubs that are expanding here. With a strong knowledge base of the Miami market, and the ability to connect on a personal level with her clientele, Shelia has found much success as a real estate professional.

For many years in her career, Shelia was the Director of Sales for an apparel company that catered to the needs of several high-end designers. She traveled extensively between the United States and Latin America and consulted on denim manufacturing and the sales and marketing process. After years of business travel, she decided to enter the world of real estate, which had been a lifelong interest of hers. Shelia feels that real estate presents the professional challenges of an exciting industry, with the added benefit of helping others achieve personal or investment goals, and the ability to work within the community she loves.  

With any of the business relationships Shelia develops, she takes a personal interest in learning what her clients really want to achieve. She continues to stay educated and remain at the top of her field by maintaining certifications and reaching milestone achievements such as graduating from the Realtors' Institute, and earning the Million Dollar Guild Member designation within the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing. These designations benefit her luxury clientele by ensuring she finds the right buyer no matter where in the world they live. Shelia is proud to be a member of the Compass team because the firm is taking the old real estate model and shaking it up with a focus on technology solutions that put the client's needs first. Her specialization is in single-family homes and waterfront condominiums in the Brickell, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Edgewater, and Miami Beach areas. 

Shelia loves her home in the Brickell area and truly believes that there's nothing like being out in South Florida with the sunshine, ocean views, and great dining options. In her spare time, she enjoys bike rides and exploring the Florida Keys with her husband as well as playing with her English bulldog, Izzy. She and her husband are big Miami Heat fans who love attending the games as season ticket holders. Community is important to Shelia. She supports such organizations such as St. Jude. She is an alumna of Western Kentucky University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
