What do Clients Say?

Steve helped us purchase our dream home in our dream location in a very tight time window. He even helped close the transaction for us while we were out of town. He negotiated a very good deal for us, without a lot of back and forth, which was significantly below list price and also provided a seller's credit toward closing costs. He is a true gentleman -- always courteous, and quick to respond to questions or issues as they arise. As someone with a law degree in addition to a real estate license, Steve knows what he is talking about, and seems to have a lot of credit with people on the other side of the bargaining table. I would definitely hire him again.

Steve is a dedicated and enthusiastic agent. He has a natural passion for houses and as an agent this shines through. His communication is very responsive. He cares a lot about the needs of his clients and is creative in his approach to challenges and problem solving. I would highly recommend Steve Norton as a real estate agent.

Steve is easy to work with and flat out knows what he is doing. His knowledge of the market had him price our house to sell while still getting strong offers, not taking a wait and see approach that had us drop the price over and over. Although he is clearly experienced and knows how to handle people and sales, his demeanor made the process go smoothly and we always felt taken care of, even in the face of potentially difficult buyers and decisions that we had to make along the way.

I engaged Steve for my first home purchase. Because I had no experience, I needed someone with patience and knowledge to answer my neophyte questions. I had many questions and sent them to Steve whenever they struck me. Steve took the time to respond to each of them quickly. I can't say enough about how helpful he was through the process, which I'll describe more fully below. When I started looking for a house, I was pretty sure I knew where and what kind of house I wanted. We viewed several houses matching my criteria, some of which I liked and many I didn't. At the end of each outing, though, I never felt committed to a particular house. Without pressuring me, Steve occasionally suggested I broaden my search a bit to see if other areas would be appealing. Though I ignored him for a while, I eventually followed his lead to a neighborhood not far from where I was looking and found the house I would eventually buy. By paying attention to what I was looking for, Steve was able to identify prospects I would not have considered.During the purchase agreement phase, Steve was a great negotiator. He worked hard to get the best deal possible, and told me frankly when he thought it was time to sign an agreement or walk away. After he prepared the purchase agreement, Steve was willing to walk me through each paragraph to ensure I understood the details. After the purchase agreement was in place, I constantly assumed the deal would fall through for any number of reasons. Steve regularly assured me things were progressing as normal, he helped me understand the mortgage process, and he prepared me for closing day. My stream-of-conscious questions continued until an hour before closing, and Steve never stopped answering. After closing, which Steve attended, he regularly checked in to see how things were going in my new house. Steve is a terrific real estate agent. He is polite and highly professional, and Steve makes you feel like you're his only client. As a first-time buyer, I can't think of anything Steve could have done to make the process easier. I have and will continue to recommend Steve to my friends and family in the Twin Cities. Whether it is your first or fifteenth purchase, I can't recommend Steve Norton enough.

Steve was awesome to work with. He had a good handle of the market, had a plan to market our property and got us a great deal in under a week on the market. I would recommend Steve without any reservations. He is professional, yet very personable. He is very easy to work with.

About Steve

Buying or selling a home is one of the most important personal decisions in one’s life. People want more than a professional salesperson with their eye ona paycheck can provide. People want someone that is committed foremost to forming meaningful personal relationships. The kind of relationships that allow another to see things from your point of view, understand your wants and needs, and combine that knowledge with the professional expertise needed to be a staunch advocate of your home ownership goals.

My approach is a simple one: work hard to connect with people, treat them with honesty and respect, and, most importantly, enjoy the process of getting to know them. Applying this motto to both my professional and personal life has resulted in a numberof memorable and rewarding relationships. I am very proud of that, which in turn makes me very proud of the work that I do. I look forward to applying this same level of dedication for both buyers and sellers.
