Her resume includes her service as a Commissioned Officer in the Air Defense Corps. Melissa served in the Persian Gulf and several other deployments following. After leaving the service, she worked at Raytheon Corporation as a Quality Assurance Engineer. In her free time, Melissa enjoys volunteering with local Military units, writing, shooting, singing karaoke, camping, reading, and spending time with her husband, John, and sons, Jack and Seth.
