We initially choose Karen based on her positive online reviews. After interviewing Karen on the phone, we found her easy going personality, willingness to listen, breadth of local real estate knowledge, as well as having a background in property development and house building a perfect fit for us. We were also looking for an agent that covered the OR coastal area from south of Brookings to north of Port Orford, as well as inland since we had no preconceived location choosen. Just talking to Karen on the phone instilled in us her sense of down-to-earth, task-focused, get-it-done attitude and attention to detail. Throughout our home purchase process, Karen repeatedly demonstrated her “can-do” attitude, completing her actions days earlier than required and taking on actions that were clearly the Seller’s Agent’s responsibility, but only doing so to ensure that our transaction stayed on schedule. Karen volunteered multiple times to reach out to community experts, which she also knew by first name, when it came to digging out information on possible future county plans and utility upgrades. Also, once the property survey came in and revealed multiple missing easement issues, Karen championed getting the parties into motion, followed up with weekly status requests to the Sellers and adjacent land owners to be sure that the new required easements would be completed successfully prior to our closing. Karen repeatedly made time to host us multiple times, on our constrained travel schedules, as we were coming from out of state up to the OR coast. Karen constantly kept us informed via e-mail and/or phone updates. She’s well versed in online real estate marketing & tools and uses the online Doc-u-Sign process, which in itself, streamlined the many remote document signatures that need to be completed quickly and eliminated the old fashioned e-mail/print/sign/scan/e-mail back the document kabuki dance.
