About 5 years ago we decided we wanted to sell our home and purchase another home that would not have lawn, sidewalk and other exterior care.We talked to our sister-in-law, who is a realtor for Coldwell Banker, in another city. She recommended Christine Richard, a Coldwell Banker realtor in Calgary.Soon after, we contacted Christine Richard and we had a long discussion with Christine regarding our home plans. Soon after this she hired an interior design specialist who came to our house, with Christine, and they made commendations that would make our home more saleable.Christine started sending us email's that had links to homes that were similar to ours, for price comparison, and also she sent many emails with links to homes that met our future plans.We found many homes that looked like what we wanted. We would call up Christine, who made arrangements for our viewing, and she would meet us at the home at a prearranged time. She was always on time. She was very good at pointing out the pro's and cons at each home. Over the five years, we looked at many homes and this year, we finally found the home that closely matched what we were looking for. After living in our new home for 3 months, we are very satisfied with our purchase and also the sale of our home.Our new home required some painting and flooring repairs and Christine knew the people to contact for this work. The workers were very skilled, came to do the job when they said they would, their costs were reasonable, they did an excellent cleanup and completed the job on time.We required a lawyer for our purchase and our sale and Christine recommended a lawyer whose price was reasonable and also completed his work in a timely fashion.When it came time to sell our home, Christine hired a professional interior designer to stage our home and she also hired a professional photographer for advertising pictures. Our home looked spectacular in the photos and also when you walked through it.On the day our home went up for sale, 32 realtors showed our home to potential buyers and 17 of those made offers on our home. We accepted an offer that exceeded the asking price by nearly 9%. We were thrilled that we got a price for our home that exceeded our expectations and it all happened in one day! We believe the sale of our home turned out the way it did because of the good planning and advertising skills of Christine Richard.After the sale, Christine was always available to answer questions and she also gave us a thougtful gift for choosing her as our realtor.
