My wife and I had been using Zillow to become acquainted with the Jacksonville, Florida real estate market for over two years in preparation for our anticipated retirement in 2020. We were interested in a single story, pool home, in St John’s county Florida, big enough to host visits by our children and grandchildren. We realized that pool homes were in high demand, and usually received multiple offers, so we needed an experienced realtor to represent us. We were referred to Roberta and Aleks of the ROLEKS Group following a Zillow inquiry. They were able to send us a number of homes to consider. We frequently requested a detailed market analysis to help us assess the leading prospects. We had been working with the ROLEKS Group for several months when the perfect home popped up on the market. The only problem was our Realtors were on a family vacation in Rome, Italy, half a world away. We notified Roberta and Aleks, and apologized profusely for interrupting their vacation. Without skipping a beat, they went to work for us. Roberta set up a viewing with the listing agent and Aleks provided us a market analysis. This home was an even better prospect than we initially thought. My wife and I had a gut feeling that this was the one, but how can we prevail? Sensing our excitement, Roberta put in a very strong offer for us, and then advised us to write a “personal letter” to the seller to explain how important this was to us. Hopeful,… we put together an inspired letter that captured our emotions and desire to return home to Jacksonville, to be reunited with family and fill the home with many new and wonderful memories. Amazingly, our offer was accepted. It was not the highest offer received, however the sincere heart felt letter is what allowed us to prevail among multiple offers. Looking back on all this, we are grateful for all the hard work and timely professional guidance provided by the ROLEKS Team that allowed us to come home to the Jacksonville area, and take up residence in the home of our dreams. We have come to know Roberta and Aleks personally through this wonderful journey home to Florida. We consider them not only friends, but now part of our extended family. They both went above and beyond the call of duty to help make our retirement dreams come true. Do not choose a realtor to represent you based on sales volume, or marketing gimmicks.
