About Joe

I grew up in Southwest Michigan, before moving to Chicago for college more than twenty years ago! I spent nearly two decades in the city, where I met and married my beautiful wife, Leslie. We are blessed to have two little boys, Joel and Ryan. About five years ago, we made the difficult (but incredible) decision to move our family from the city to Saint John, Indiana. We truly couldn't be happier with our decision, and with the community we now call home.

Northwest Indiana is one of the fastest growing parts of the country due to its proximity to Chicago, while boasting substantially lower housing costs, and property tax rates. We have personally found the Saint John, Dyer, Cedar Lake, Crown Point area to be full of family friendly conveniences, and incredible people! Our boys have made many great friends, my wife is very involved with several mom groups, and we have found a great church home at Faith Church in Dyer.

From a business perspective, I have absolutely loved becoming the go-to realtor for folks who are considering making the move from Illinois across the border into Indiana. Having made the move myself, I'm able to understand what buyers may be feeling, and wondering as they embark on the journey across state lines. I'm passionate about sharing our experiences, and guiding clients through the transition. When buyers work with me, not only are they getting expert advice, but they are also gaining a new lifelong friend.

Having spent more than 15 years in the city, and having sold hundreds of homes in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, I still spend plenty of time there, assisting past clients, referrals from past clients, and new clients. Outside of work, you will most likely find me either volunteering (in Chicago or NW Indiana), playing/traveling with my wife and two sons, or attending car shows with my beloved classic Corvette! (It's a 1971, and it's red, of course!) I'm also a big sports fan (google "Joe Wright Cubs Grand Slam") but it's been a bit rough being a Chicago sports fan these days!
