I sat next to someone on the airplane that referred me to Mary Bader. My seatmate had a similar experience as we currently were . We had moved our mother into assisted living at Atria and were looking at the daunting task of finding a realtor to sell the home our mother just adored! What made it doubly challenging was that both my brother and I lived out of state. The whole experience of elder care, doing the next right thing for our mom, and finding someone that would be sensitive to our situation seemed like a tall order. Mary was the best! My sister and I needed to sell my mom's house in Albuquerque, but both of us lived over 500 miles away. Mary was responsive to all our questions about the process of a home sale in New Mexico. She also understood the special aspects of selling a home for a senior who is having to let go of her independence and giving up her home of 20 years. Mary worked very hard for all three of us from staging and photography through a successful sale. She was both proactive and responsive in her communication with us from a distance. About Mary

Being from a large family, I grew up around eight brothers and sisters, cousins, aunts, and uncles. I learned at a young age about different personalities and how important communication is to a relationship.  I have always been drawn to roles that allow me to communicate and work with diverse individuals.  After working for the private sector in my early career, I joined the U.S. Department State of Foreign Service. I served my country as a U.S. Diplomat for several years in both Europe and Asia.  When I returned to the US in 1995, I became a Decorating and Painting Contractor in California and Mexico and have enjoyed working on projects with designers and developers in model homes, restaurants, and commercial buildings and have worked directly for hundreds of homeowners throughout Albuquerque, Santa Fe and California.  I owned and operated How Great Thou ArtFinishing Studio LLC, prior to becoming a Realtor.  Two of my projects here were published in Modello by Design Vol. I and II.

 I enjoy using my negotiating skills obtained over years of experience as a Diplomat and Contractor, when negotiating for either Buyers or Sellers, whether it is a high-end home or a short-sale transaction.  I am a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS), Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES), Military Relocation Expert, and an accredited Short Sale Specialist (ASD). As a Listing Agent, using my background as a contractor, I advise my clients how to prepare their homes for sale by giving “staging” tips and recommending a list of contractors to help them get the homes ready.  I have also served on the Keller Williams' Agent Leadership Council and received prestigious awards and recognition from my peers including the Good Neighbor Award from the Greater Albuquerque Association of Realtors and the Cultural Ambassador Award for the work my team and I do which focuses on helping those in our community in need of a helping hand.
