Ed is the leader of THE AKERS GROUP with Coldwell Banker Vangaurd Realty and is a Greater Jacksonville native for over 50 years who has an extensive an comprehensive understanding of the lifestyle, communities, schools, neighborhoods and businesses on the First Coast.  

As a proven leader with a strong record of professional achievements, Ed boasts years of experience and knowledge in both the real estate, financial technology and mortgage servciing arena in corporate risk, real estate market analytics and program management that goes back to 1987. He realizes that each transaction is unique and multifaceted, thus, he utilizes both is one-on-one experience with buyers and sellers, as well as his meticulous attention to facts and detail, to create a well-rounded, individualized service that assures results. He and his team work collaboratively to ensure every customer is provided attentive, professional service always.

Additionally, Ed maintains a large network of business contacts, is passionate about staying active and engaged in Jacksonville's nonprofit sector, and is acommunity leader, volunteer and fundraiser for various non-profit organizations.

Ed has previously served on Coldwell Banker Vanguard’s Global Luxury Marketing Committee, Technology Committee, and their “CBV Cares” nonprofit organization Executive Committee as Secretary. He previously served on the Historic Springfield Preservation and Revitalization Council (SPAR) Board in various capacities including chair of their Historic Design Review Committee, and on the Riverside Fine Arts Association where he was President-Elect.
