CrystalHorton is a native Texan who grew up in Corpus Christi, TX and moved to theHill Country to attend Texas State University. She received her Bachelor ofScience in Management and Master of Health Administration from the Universityof Phoenix. In 2005, she met her husband, Brian, and they settled in the Austinarea when he started with the Austin Police Department.

Crystalmanaged in a director/administrator role in the healthcare industry for tenyears. After the birth of her son, Cason, shedecided to transition her career to have greater flexibility for her family.
