What do Clients Say?
"We bought our house from Coleen 20 years ago and we have had 20 wonderful years in it. She knew exactly what we were looking for and we only looked at three homes. Now that she is Broker-In-Charge, everyone there is so lucky to have her! She is everything you would want in a Sales Person & Broker.”
CONNIE F.
"My husband and I have had the great fortune of knowing Coleen for more than 20 years. What started as new neighbors grew into a long friendship and working relationship. Throughout multiple real estate transactions Coleen represented us with patience and integrity. She never tired when we were indecisive. She is always committed unconditionally to her clients in the long run and most people that work with her remain friends for a lifetime. We recommend her wholeheartedly. "
ROSEMARY & GARY M.
"Coleen helped us buy two properties and sell one. She knew our first purchase did not fulfill all our requirements but we purchased anyway. She, unbeknownst to us, continued to look for the “right” property. She found it in Stillpoint on Lake Glenville. She has the right mix of local knowledge, professionalism and personality to help anyone find the right dream in the mountains."
LISA & DON C.
"When buying or selling a property it’s easy to imagine all sorts of unknown pitfalls that will complicate your life. The best way to ease your real estate stress is to call Coleen Gottloeb, one of Cashiers most qualified and respected brokers, and let her guide you through a process that will always be handled efficiently and effectively. With her vast experience as not only a salesperson, but a broker-in-charge and a former agency owner she knows everything and everybody that will keep the process of buying or selling flowing smoothly and give you the results you are seeking. Coleen is a delight to work with and projects an inner calm that resonates with professionalism. There is nothing that can replace top-notch experience. She’s got that, and more. I cannot recommend her highly enough."
DEE B.
"I first worked with Coleen while I was still employed and planning for retirement. I wanted to purchase a lot to build on in a few years, and she quickly found one that was a perfect fit. Before long, Coleen reached out about a home she thought I should see. She was confident it was the right one for me—and she was absolutely right. Even then, she encouraged me to view other homes in the same price range, just so I could be certain and understand the value of what she had found. Coleen made the entire relocation process smooth and thoughtful. She found me a home that not only fits my needs today but will support me well into the future. I’m deeply grateful for her insight, dedication, and genuine care."

About Coleen
Coleen Gottloeb serves as Broker-in-Charge of Cashiers Valley Real Estate, bringing nearly three decades of experience, leadership, and vast local knowledge to one of the Plateau’s most trusted real estate firms.
With close to 30 years in the Cashiers real estate market, Coleen has built a career defined by integrity, insight, and an exceptional ability to guide clients through meaningful transitions. Known for transforming the seemingly ordinary into the extraordinary, she excels at uniting buyers and sellers in pursuit of homes, land, and lifestyles that reflect their dreams and values.
For Coleen, real estate is never just about transactions — it’s about relationships. She is deeply committed to understanding each client’s unique goals and priorities, and she approaches every transaction as a trusted advisor, advocate, and confidant. Her clients value her steady guidance, clear communication, and thoughtful attention to detail from first conversation through closing and beyond.
Coleen’s leadership experience is extensive. She began her real estate career in Cashiers with Coldwell Banker Carolina Mountains, where she became Broker-in- Charge and Owner. She later transitioned to Landmark Realty Group, further broadening her market knowledge and professional perspective, before joining McKee Properties in 2017 as Broker-in-Charge. In that role, she served as the firm’s chief administrative officer, overseeing daily operations, contract review, compliance, and broker support. She also played a key role in professional development and continuing education, while serving as the company’s primary liaison to state and local real estate organizations. Following the 2024 merger of McKee Properties with Cashiers Sotheby’s International Realty, Coleen continued in the Broker-in-Charge role. In 2025, she transitioned to Office Manager and full-time Broker, allowing her to refocus on her passion for client-facing work — before stepping into her current leadership role with Cashiers Valley Real Estate in January 2026.
A native of St. Cloud, Florida, Coleen holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Florida State University and is a proud third-generation Seminole. She earned her North Carolina real estate license in 1996 and holds numerous professional designations, including Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI), Green, Resort & Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS), Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES), and membership in the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing.
Coleen and her late husband, Miles, fulfilled a long-held dream when they moved to the Cashiers area in 1995. Her connection to the mountains runs deep — her maternal grandfather was born in what is now part of the Great Smoky Mountains, near Hughes Ridge, named for her family and located just inside the park near the Cherokee entrance.
Highly engaged in the community, Coleen has served for many years on the Board of Directors of the Highlands-Cashiers Multiple Listing Service. She is also a member of Friends of Lake Glenville, the Cashiers Historical Society, Friends of Panthertown, and Waterfall Keepers of North Carolina.
Coleen is the proud mother of one son, Jake, a graduate of Western Carolina University who currently works for the Southwestern Commission. An avid outdoorswoman, she enjoys traveling, hiking, boating, biking, camping, and kayaking. In her downtime, she can often be found gardening, bowling, playing trivia with friends, or enjoying a good movie.
