I had the privilege of working with Ray to purchase my first home here on the Outer Banks. Ray took me on extensive tours of available houses and provided me with countless amounts of information in order for me to stay informed about the housing market in the area. When a house came onto the market that was in my price range, Ray contacted me immediately and said, “We’ve got to get on this one fast!” And he was right! Others were actively interested in the lower priced, positively located house and with Ray’s help & guidance, we were awarded the contract! When we first began looking for a piece of property upon which we could build, we weren’t in a hurry. That all changed when Ray showed us the piece of land in Southern Shores. We knew immediately that we’d found the site of our future home on the Outer Banks. Ray jumped into high gear, communicating with the seller, preparing an offer and guiding us through negotiations. About Twiddy
As a native of northeast North Carolina, Ray grew up working and vacationing on the Outer Banks. He knew then that one day he would call the OBX home. After pursuing a BS in Biology at UNC-Chapel Hill, followed by an MS in Education from The Ohio State University, Ray worked in California and Vermont before returning to northeastern NC. After a successful career in marketing, business development, and sales, he finally decided it was time to move, literally and figuratively, toward fulfilling his lifelong dream to make the Outer Banks his home. He set his sights on Southern Shores and never looked back. The next step in the master plan was to become a licensed NC Real Estate Broker, then join the very best company on the beach, Twiddy & Company. Ray joined the Property Management division of Twiddy in 2015 to spearhead the newly created Premier Home Services program for luxury oceanfront rental homes. Starting with just 15 homes, Ray and his team grew the program to 58 homes within 4 years. Moreover, laser focus on the larger vision to deliver memorable guest and owner experiences resulted in the highest satisfaction ratings in the company’s history and repeat guest bookings averaging well above 60%. Then it was time to take this experience forward to the next phase, and the ultimate goal; to join the Twiddy & Company Sales Team. Just as with the Premier Homes challenge, Ray is passionately committed to bringing to buyers and sellers the same drive, a “make it happen” work ethic and Southern hospitality that has become synonymous with Twiddy & Company. As the proud father of two sons and a daughter, this new grandfather starts every day knowing he is right where he should be.
