About Joy

Joy is originally from Tennessee, but moved to Lakeland in 1980. Joy combines her love for the real estate industry with her passion for helping people.  Joy strengths include communications, organization, attention to detail, knowledge of market conditions, and successfully guiding clients to a smooth and stress free closing.  A past customer said, "Joy is one of the best realtors we have ever dealt with. Married in 1994, Gary and Joy Desmond are the husband/wife real estate team, The Desmond Group, with RE/MAX EXPERTS in Lakeland, Florida. They have three daughters, and four grandchildren. Joy became licensed to sell real estate in 2006, and Gary followed in 2009. 

Gary is a native Floridian, born in Winter Haven in 1961, and then moved to Lakeland in 1993. As a lifelong resident of Polk County, Gary will not only provide you with the necessary knowledge to make an informed purchase, but will also point you in the direction of your new favorite restaurant, grocery store, shopping options, or directions to Legoland, or where to watch the Detroit Tigers or Tampa Bay Lightning.
