Caroline's expertise in the North Shore area was evident from our first meeting. We were first time buyers from Canada with very specific requirements and she took the time to understand our preferences and lifestyle, and family priorities, demonstrating efficiency and effectiveness. She was incredibly communicative, promptly answering calls and e-mails, keeping us informed of every development. We must commend Caroline's ability to put us in touch with excellent contractors to conduct closing, inspection and title insurance(we did two house inspections inadvertently, as the first house we put a bid on turned out to have a number of structural issues that would have entailed repairs on our part at a considerable cost). Most importantly, in a gentle and unobstrusive way, Caroline guided us back to our priorities those times that we got carried away with homes that were absolutely lovely - but not aligned with our requirements. We finally found the home we wanted in a fantastic location in Northfield. Although Caroline was away at a seminar she had a wonderful colleague help us work through the details with the seller's agent. A month later we did the final walk through and closing together with Caroline; she subsequently handed us the keys to our new home, our first in the US.

Selling a home is a stressful situation. Selling a home you have invested time and energy in, with a renovation and with many unique family memories can be overwhelming. Caroline was a fantastic partner as we sold our Northbrook, IL home to relocate to Colorado. She understood our needs right away - the fact that with 4 children we really couldn't do significant repainting or work -- and that an extended showing period would be really difficult. She offered solutions that fit our needs and desires such as showing the home when we were gone over spring break. Caroline's early inspection allowed us to quickly isolate any issues that might come up upon a seller's inspection and to remedy these issues. She was always available to advise, make suggestions and keep us moving in the right direction. Most importantly we had a difficult negotiation with our buyer. On multiple occasions my husband and I considered walking away as the buyer's demands felt ridiculous and over-the-top considering the great inspection results we received. Caroline kept working towards a solution that would keep us all engaged and happy. In the end, we really would not have been able to make this same sale without Caroline's help.
