About Erin

      Erin Hanhauser has called Charleston home for nearly 20 years. She is a native of the Washington D.C. metro area and a graduate of the College of Charleston. Erin began her Residential real estate career in 2007 at Daniel Island Real Estate as an Assistant to two different Top Producers. While there, she worked closely with local home builders, and home buyers and sellers from across the country.

In 2010, Erin joined Keller Williams Realty and later moved her license to The Real Estate Experts of Charleston. During the mortgage crisis, Erin also worked as a paralegal for a Mt. Pleasant based foreclosure defense attorney. After training to become a Certified Distressed Property Expert, Erin thoroughly enjoyed helping countless families with Short Sale Negotiations and Loan Modifications. 

In 2013, Erin’s husband took a job which required them to temporarily re-locate to Knoxville, TN. For almost two years, Erin worked as the Property Manager for Trotter & Company, a well-known Commercial Real Estate firm. In addition to overseeing the Property Management, Erin also supervised maintenance techs and worked as Project Manager on up-fits and build-outs.

In 2016, Erin went to work for Radekopf & Associates, a Charleston-based Residential, Commercial & Business Brokerage Firm.  While there, Erin worked closely with the Broker-in-Charge who has more than 30 years industry expertise. While growing her database, Erin continued working with re-location Buyers from across the country, in additional to listing and leasing both Retail and office space for area businesses. 

In October 2020, Erin joined Island House Real Estate.  Her expertise in the legal and both Residential & Commercial real estate industries, are a true asset to our team. When she is not selling real estate or leasing retail property, Erin enjoys volunteering at Habitat for Humanity and traveling with her husband, Martin. Erin has several designations which include; Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS), Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE), Short Sale Foreclosure Resource (SFR) and Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE).
