About Melissa

Melissa became a licensed REALTOR® in October of 2014 while still finishing her teaching career.   Melissa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University. She retired from teaching in 2015 after 29 years as a high school History teacher. She has hundreds of contacts from her years of teaching and community involvement and her team has the expertise to help their clients with all aspects of the residential real estate market.  Melissa is a member of Renew Church Waco  and is involved in the Waco Chamber of Commerce, Hewitt Chamber of Commerce and serves as an advisor for the Providence Hospice Community Healthcare of Texas. Melissa and her husband Brad have 2 grown children, Lindsey and Landon. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, traveling and photography. Melissa’s "Big Why" is to provide opportunities for her team members to achieve their dreams and leave a legacy for her family to enjoy. Melissa received her GRI designation in August 2016 and followed that with her PSA designation and two luxury certifications. Her husband is a commercial real estate broker and developer with a CCIM designation. They also own and operate Alliance Property Management Company and Melissa serves as the team leader for the residential division of their real estate business. Melissa and her husband also have a real estate development company. She currently serves on the Agent Leadership Council at their brokerage and the Professional Standards Committee for the Waco Association of Realtors. They have an excellent, professional, licensed staff that supports their clients to ensure a smooth transaction process.
