About Susan

There is something about the mountains that heal the soul. Even though I have strong family ties to western North Carolina, I have lived most of my life in Indiana. I have had my own business in horticulture, raised a family and yet my goal has always been to get back home. Now I am and I couldn’t be happier. I am now close to my family and have become a member of the family at work as well.

Western North Carolina is the perfect place for the outdoor enthusiast, myself included! I love taking long walks, fishing in the same streams that I did with my grandfather, and finding new adventures to share with family and friends!

I also love cultural activities. This area has some of the best cuisine, galleries, and music around! How wonderful it is to have so many choices of activities to enjoy!
