I don't know what I would have done without Tiffany Shaw to help me sell my mother's house in Fernandina Beach. I didn't know anything about real estate here, but had come down from Pennsylvania to live with and care for my mother and brother in my mother's house. Both had terminal illnesses and both died within three months. I was grieving, but was also the executor of the estate and needed to sell the house for several beneficiaries. I walked into the nearest real estate office, met Tiffany, and asked if she could help me. She went above and beyond! She recommended to my husband and me what fixes the house needed to sell and the people to do them. The house was not a wonderful house -- small and not updated -- but it was in the best part of the Historic District. As someone not from here, I didn't realize how valuable that made the property. When a real estate appraiser came and gave us his estimate of what it was worth, I would have just gone with it, but Tiffany knew the market much better than I did. Instead we set the price 30% above the appraiser's suggestion and on the first day it was listed we had four offers, all of them ABOVE that price! Tiffany is a fantastic realtor and now that I've begun looking for a home to buy in Fernandina Beach, she's my point person. Even knowing that we won't buy for at least a year (nearer to my husband's retirement), she tirelessly looks for houses with the attributes we want. She has cheerfully shown us numerous houses and given us lots of her time, full well knowing we won't actually be signing a contract for a long time. You may see her on the tennis court, fishing the coast with her husband, Jack, and son, Jackson, or throwing a frisbee for her Golden Retriever, Zoey. Tiffany also loves to entertain and prepare unique cuisine for friends and family and has a long history for volunteering for numerous organizations locally and throughout Florida’s First Coast.
