She expertly guided us through a nightmarish experience trying to resettle in the DC area after receiving government orders to move from Texas. We got in two bidding wars and one house appraised $70k below the asking price. Of course, she warned us about each of these, but we were desperate to get into a house since we had a 6-week time limit of what the government would pay for our temporary hotel. She got us into a wonderful home at a reasonable price in excellent condition. Then, when we wanted to move to a neighborhood where our daughter would be in a bilingual school, she helped us buy a second home although, without the time crunch, there was considerably less drama this time. We love the fact that she is licensed to work in VA, DC, and MD because we have been looking at homes in all three areas. We also loved her idea to overbid the asking price by just $800. In this hot market, it made us stand out from others are the asking price, but wasn't sufficiently high to break our pocketbook. Ultimately, it was this idea that got us into our home.
