We were living in NC and looking at homes in CA when we received an offer on our NC home. We were lucky we found Marianne to act as our agent, because I had less than a week to find and purchase a home before returning to NC. Marianne must have shown us 12-15 homes, 2 days after contacting her, that were in our price range and age. The house we liked best had other offers and she was such a skilled negotiator and knew how best to phrase the offer so that it was the accepted one, again in another 2 days. I returned to NC and she shepherded us through all of the CA paperwork long distance and was available for questions at any time. She was able to suggest a home inspector who also was speedy, but thorough. Her knowledge and assistance was invaluable to the whole process and we have been living here now for 15 months and she remains a friend I can contact when in need of recommendations for local business people. Because of her, a long distance move was less stressful and more enjoyable than we thought it would be.

About Marianne

Hello, I am Marianne Allison, licensed Realtor, mom to three wonderful adult children, wife to my husband of 25 years and wearer of many hats.  I love real estate and I love what I do!  I have been licensed to practice real estate in California since 2005.  Prior to entering the real estate business, I had a successful career serving as an administrative, accounting, and management professional in both the automotive dealership and construction contracting industries.   

I began my career in real estate in mortgage lending, where I learned about lending practices, contract negotiation and helping clients with their credit needs. As my career progressed, I found that it is as a Realtor working with clients as a buyer’s or seller’s agent is where my passion lies.  Using my background and experience, I love to help clients achieve success.

Contra Costa and East Alameda County area is where my business is focused, however I have lived in Northern California all my adult life and am very familiar with the Bay Area and Central Valley counties. It is not unusual for me to work with clients in surrounding areas, such a Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Francisco, Solano, Sonoma, Sacramento, and San Joaquin Counties.  

Besides helping clients as a seller’s/buyer’s agent, I also have a property management practice with a system in place for clients that have investment property who would prefer a professional deal with the nuances of managing tenants and upkeep of rental property.  I make it a priority to stay informed of the state and local rental laws.  To round out my team, I maintain excellent vendor relationships with home repair and building contractor pros, that do quality work at a reasonable cost for my clients.
