About Catherine

My first real job came about when I was a junior in college and won a national competition for a guest editorship at Mademoiselle Magazine at Conde Nast in New York. After serving on a college panel evaluating Pan American Airways advertising at J Walter Thompson, also in New York, I applied for a then "stewardess" job at Pan Am which lasted 17 years. In the meantime my husband, with two partners, bought a bar in San Francisco, added food and watched it become a hangout for politicians,  movie stars and the rich and famous. After adding three more restaurants/bars to the list, we remained in the hospitality industry for about 25 years. During the same period we bought vineyards in the Napa Valley and grew winegrapes for about 25 years. So... I was fortunate to be in the Bay Area in the days when Atari and Apple were first starting up and there was all sorts of buzz about computers. That was pre-IBM PC days. My husband kept saying I should go into real estate and I was really insulted. If only I had paid attention to him. I have been a Realtor since 2011 and love every minute of it. That's my story in a nutshell.
