About Gene

Born in San Francisco and a Los Ranchos de Albuquerque resident for the past six years, Gene loves the natural beauty, cultural diversity, outdoor adventures, and local cuisine that are the hallmarks of New Mexico. He enjoys sharing his local knowledge and area expertise by offering personalized tours for his clients showcasing the benefits of the New Mexico lifestyle: from parks and hiking trails to restaurants and growers’ markets, and neighborhood hangouts in Old Town and Uptown and everywhere in between. He is truly an ambassador to Albuquerque!

After years of work-related travel, Gene sought a career that would allow him more time nearer to his home, and Real Estate was the clear choice! He has been a full time REALTOR® for nearly 20 years. His background in magazine and newspaper publishing, along with his skills in marketing and negotiation, helped to accelerate his career. His ability to focus on details, and implementation of strategic planning, has benefited both buyers and sellers while meeting the various demands and nuances of the industry. He truly loves helping people and prides himself on assisting his clients to navigate the fast-paced real estate market with clear communication, integrity, knowledge, focus, and energy. He works tirelessly to streamline the process while tackling any challenges directly, making it a seamless experience.

Prior to starting his real estate practice in New Mexico, Gene was a recipient of the Berkeley Association of REALTORS® Realtor® of the Year award. He was previously a Director for the California Association of REALTORS® and a Past President of the Berkeley Association of REALTORS®. His current affiliations include the National Association of REALTORS®, New Mexico Association of REALTORS®, the Greater Albuquerque Association of REALTORS®, the Southwest Multiple Listing Service, Santa Fe Association of REALTORS®, Santa Fe Multiple Listing Service, Habitat for Humanity, and the National Audubon Society.

In his free time, Gene enjoys working in his vegetable and flower gardens, entertaining, gourmet Italian cooking, hiking the acequia trails in the bosque, golfing, kayaking and swimming, exploring local restaurants, travel (especially warm beach vacations and Italy), and playing with Gandalf, his rescue pup. Gene is always ready for an adventure, and he looks forward to hearing from you!
