About Susan

Susan Gorden Ryan is a luxury real estate specialist with Jack Conway, Realtors in Mattapoisett. Her footprint is locally focused but globally informed. She works primarily in Mattapoisett, Marion, and the broader Buzzards Bay coast — the tri-town area and its waterfront neighbors — where she serves discerning sellers and the kind of buyers most local agents struggle to access.

Before luxury real estate, Susan spent twenty-seven years building and leading high-performing strategy and sales operations teams at two of New England’s largest financial institutions. As Director of Global Sales Operations at State Street Corporation, she built a global team that remains a core part of the organization today and led enterprise-wide initiatives spanning multiple international markets. As Vice President and Senior Strategy Manager at Citizens Financial Group, she designed the firm’s Retail Strategy Framework and led the integration of HSBC branches and the ISBC acquisition, delivering executive communication directly to the CEO and senior leadership.

She brings that executive discipline to every listing she takes. Sellers working with Susan get the marketing rigor of a corporate product launch, the analytical depth of a strategy consulting engagement, and the negotiation skill of someone who has managed over one hundred fifty million dollars in revenue-generating proposals annually.

Susan’s personal geography is unusual for a Realtor and is an asset for her clients. Born in Taunton, she has lived in Quincy, Braintree, and Mashpee, has summered in Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard Harbor, and has worked in Boston, London, Munich, and Toronto over the course of her career. Her sellers benefit because she has lived in the very markets her buyers are coming from — the South Shore Boston downsizer, the Upper Cape coastal mover, the returning expat or the international relocator. She speaks their language, understands what they are leaving behind, and can market a coastal Massachusetts home to a buyer pool that parochial agents cannot credibly reach.

Susan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire and completed graduate coursework in the MBA program at Boston University. She holds eleven professional real estate certifications including Pricing Strategy Advisor, Real Estate Negotiation Expert, Luxury Home Certified, and Land & Ranch Certified. She is also Co-Founder and Principal of North Star Consulting Group, a strategic consulting practice that helps business owners build the lead management systems and operational frameworks she has spent her career mastering.
