In 1985, Telluride was a small, yet-to-be-discovered wonderland, the most beautiful spot in Colorado. At that time, there was no gondola, no airport, no fax machines, no internet, no cell phone service, no Oprah or Tom Cruise. We had been coming to Telluride for years, summer after summer, to marvel at the beauty of the mountains and hang out at Floradoras with Howie and meet new friends. Our dream was to live in this magical place, and we purchased a lot on the sunny side of the canyon right below Tomboy Road, near what used to be Keith Carradine's blue "barn house." The view from our property was spectacular, overlooking the town of Telluride, Bridelveil Falls and Bear Creek, absolutely breathtaking in the Fall. Our dream never materialized for us, and in 2003 we put our property up for sale. We hired two different brokers, but after a few years down the road, neither one had found us a buyer. Then we met George Harvey. George uncovered the problem that was scaring potential buyers away. There was an parking easement attached to our land which involved a list of issues which George tirelessly worked through on our behalf, keeping us informed and updated with the process of straightening out the legal paperwork that had never been properly done in the beginning when we first purchased the land back in 1985. In 2008, Telluride was not exempt from the economic slump, but George perservered and found a buyer for our property. We will always be grateful to George and his wife Becky for their dedication and hard work in getting the job done! Thank you George - very, very much.

George received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas in 1973 and obtained his Colorado Real Estate Sales License in 1984. He currently holds the designations and certifications of Accredited Buyer Representative, Certified International Property Specialist, Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, Council of Residential Specialist, Graduate of Realtor Institute, Resort & Second Home Property Specialist, Transnational Referral Certification, Masters of Real Estate from the Colorado Association of Realtors®, NAR E-PRO and EcoBroker. Among George's many accomplishments, he is especially proud of having been voted twice "Telluride Realtor of the Year" 1993 & 2007 and served as President of the Telluride Association of Realtors®. He has regularly served the Colorado Association of Realtors® on its Executive Committee and currently is President of the Colorado Association of Realtors® for 2010.
