After a 15-year career on Wall Street focused on Latin American investment banking, Alison Melton left the hustle and bustle of New York City for the warm and welcoming lifestyle of South Carolina’s Lowcountry.
Her love of the South began during family vacations to Hilton Head Island as a child and continued to grow as the years progressed. After graduating with a triple major from the University of Richmond, Alison began her career at Merrill Lynch in Boston, and quickly moved up to their New York office, followed by a reprieve from the cold weather in Miami, and finally settled back in New York at Bradesco BBI, a Brazilian investment bank. While with Bradesco BBI, Melton was the #1 salesperson globally in primary and secondary equity markets.
However, her love for the Lowcountry inspired an innate desire to the Bluffton/Hilton Head area. Life among the tidal marshes and live oaks draped in Spanish Moss is where she finally feels at home. After moving South, she launched her professional career in real estate in 2014 and has seen incredible success throughout her journey. Alison Melton joined Charter One Realty, the #1 real estate firm in the Lowcountry, in 2017 after a career with Weichert Realtors- Coastal Properties in Bluffton, where she quickly escalted to the top 1% of all Weichert agents in the country.
